On Thursday July 28, Thomas Carr College hosted the first ever SACCSS Badminton Tournament at Eagle Stadium. There were 256 students in action on the day, which was such a spectacle, with 30 of them representing Thomas Carr College.

We also had a small army of House Captains who were in charge of scoring each of the courts. I must say they did such an amazing job to get all games done on time and without any issues. They were absolute stars, and I cannot thank them enough for the mountain of work they did to make the day a success. All teams played like champions, they worked well together and had such a fun day.

We are pleased to share with you that we had two teams win their Grand Finals, with Thea Villegas and Erin Bautista winning the Open Girls A title and Evelyn Jacob and Jessica Sandrea winning the Open Girls B title. Congratulations to these girls, they did us proud, along with all of the teams that represented our College.

A big Thank you to Mr Levy and Ms Taylor for all the work they did in training this team over many months after school on a Tuesday.

Our focus now turns to the upcoming SACCSS Athletics Carnival which will be held on Tuesday August 30 at Lakeside Stadium.
