Book Week Celebrations 2023
Book Week is running from 19 to 25 August. We will be hosting a number of lunchtime activities throughout the week, culminating in a Book Week Dress Up Parade at Lunchtime on Friday August 25. Students and staff are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite character. Please note that this is not a casual dress day. Students not dressing up must attend in full winter school uniform. Costumes must be appropriate to a school setting and must not impede learning.
New App is Coming
The College will be launching our new app SIMON Everywhere in the next few weeks. The app syncs directly with PAM accounts allowing parents to connect via single sign on. It will allow parents to quickly see notes, communications, commendations and much more. Keep an eye out for the launch notices as all families who sign up to the app before the end of Term 3 will automatically go into the draw to win one of five JB HiFi vouchers. You will need your PAM login to sign up. If you have misplaced these details, please contact the College.
Advance Notice – Change to 2024 Booklists
Parents are advised that the 2024 Booklists will be released to students in Senior School in early October. Families with students in Years 10, 11 & 12 in 2024 will be requested to complete the booklists by November 3 so that textbooks and resources can be delivered to families before the beginning of Headstart.
Second-Hand Textbooks and Uniforms
College Second-Hand Textbook and Uniform Sales are available through a dedicated Facebook page. Families are able to join the Thomas Carr College Second-Hand Textbook Buy, Swap and Sell Group on Facebook. This group allows families to arrange to buy, sell or exchange textbooks and uniforms with other families in our community.
Families wishing to join this group must be members of the Thomas Carr College Community and must agree to abide by the group expectations. Links to the group can be found our Facebook page and other social media. Please be aware that due to Child Safe regulations, we cannot accept current students as members of this group.
