On Tuesday 10 October we hosted PPEP Talk for a discussion with Year 9 students as part of the Periods, Pain and Endometriosis Program. The presenters from PPEP Talk reported that our students were an absolute pleasure to engage with.

PPEP offer FREE follow up session called PPEP Talk Next Steps for any student who identified a complex pain concern or would like their caregiver to know more. Next Steps is a FREE online session students attend with a caregiver, and have the opportunity to ask questions with our Gynaecologist and Pain Specialist, Dr Susan Evans. Here is a snapshot of just some of the feedback students provided on the session:

• 100% of students assigned female at birth reported PPEP Talk® was informative.
• 97% of students assigned female at birth reported knowing what endometriosis is, compared to only 36% pre PPEP Talk®.
• 83% of students assigned female at birth reported that PPEP Talk® showed them tools to use if they get period pain.
• 99% of students assigned female at birth reported that PPEP Talk® had information on how to improve their general health.
• 95% of students assigned male at birth reported PPEP Talk® was informative.
• 85% of students assigned male at birth reported knowing what endometriosis is, compared to only 9% pre PPEP Talk®.
• 96% of students assigned male at birth reported that PPEP Talk® showed them how to support people with period pain.
• 87% of students assigned male at birth reported that PPEP Talk® had information on how to improve their general health.
