SACCSS Athletics Wrap Up

19 September 2024

On Tuesday 3 August, 120 students represented the College at the annual SACCSS Athletics Carnival at Lakeside Stadium in glorious conditions. Our athletes competed exceptionally well, with the following students coming in the Top 3 of their events:

  • Maddie Hall 2nd Girls 13-14yo 1500m and 1st 800m
  • Lani Tesi 2nd Girls 15yo Shot Put and Discus
  • Steven Morgan 2nd Boys 15-16yo 1500m
  • Joan Ouma 2nd Girls 14yo 400m, 2nd 100m, 3rd 200m
  • Amie Smith 3rd Girls 16yo 100m
  • Chloe Hume 2nd Girls 13yo High Jump
  • Atap Kuany 3rd Girls 14yo Long Jump, 2nd Discus
  • 1st Joseph Lettieri Boys 17-20yo 400m
  • Chloe Secoulidis 2nd Girls 16yo 100m and 3rd 200m
  • Marie Yotoko 3rd Girls 17-20yo 200m
  • Telar Telar 2nd Boys 13yo 200m
  • Yevin Wickramasinghe 3rd Boys 14yo 200m
  • Josh George 2nd Boys 16yo 200m
  • Aaliyah Mukhwana 1st Girls 15yo Long Jump
  • Luca Burrone 3rd Boys 13yo 100m
  • Benny Lodu 2nd Boys 13yo 100m

We also had a few relay teams who placed in the top 3 of their events.

Third place – 14yo Boys 4x100m relay (Jordan Arabit, Sebastian Green, Josh Arora & Jakithan Sireskumar)

Second place -16yo Boys 4x100m relay (Jai Bryan, Cameron Gatt, Josh George & Alex Tewalde)

Our Junior Girls Team (Years 7 & 8 combined) placed third in Division 1, which was also a wonderful achievement and one the girls should be very proud of. Well done girls!
