About the College
As a Catholic School, Thomas Carr College aims to educate our students with an appreciation of the spiritual as well as the intellectual and physical aspects of their lives. We aim to work with our parents to produce young people of faith and character. We are a Catholic Co-educational College in Tarneit, West of Melbourne with 1,300 students.
Our College continues to grow and embraces the Berry Street Education Model as a key strategy in supporting the learning and wellbeing needs of our students. Thomas Carr College is also a leading provider of VCE offshore delivery and opportunities exist for international travel as part of a mentoring role that attracts the generous time and financial allowance.
The Role
The Social Justice Coordinator is primarily responsible for developing a coordinated and strategic approach to social justice and mission activities within the College and in the broader community. Enhancing the Catholic Identity of the College through coordinating the Environmental Action Team, supporting the Fire Carrier and faith experiences such as Liturgy, Prayer and Spiritual Development. They take an active and collaborative role as a member of the Faith and Mission Team in leading, promoting, supporting, enhancing and evaluating processes for reflection, prayer and liturgical celebrations.
The Social Justice Coordinator is a member of the Faith and Mission Team and reports to the Deputy Principal – Faith and Mission.
Salary
In accordance with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA), the salary range for all teaching staff is $78,801 – $116,894 as per the Schedule of Salary.
Positions of Leadership are paid an additional POL allowance as listed in the Position Description.
