About the College
Thomas Carr College aims to educate students with an appreciation of the spiritual as well as the intellectual and physical aspects of their lives. We aim to work with parents to produce young people of faith and character. We are a Catholic Co-educational College in Tarneit, West of Melbourne with 1300 students. Thomas Carr College is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371.
The Role
Commencing at the start of Term 3, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic educational leader to join our community and lead our students and staff as they shine their light into the world.
Salary
The salary range $77,000 – $114,000 plus a Position of Leadership allowance will be based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of, and commitment to, Catholic education
- Demonstrate an understanding and acceptance of the Thomas Carr College Vision and Mission Statement and the values that underpin it
- Show the capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation
- Display knowledge and expertise in a range of subject areas across the Victorian Curriculum
- Demonstrate proven organisational skills
- Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels and from varying backgrounds
- Work independently and effectively in the face of changing priorities, deadlines and pressures
- Demonstrate the qualities of an exemplary teacher
- The successful candidate must hold and maintain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
